Lisa McCuiston said she suggested to the Groom brothers that for their 50th anniversary of being in business, they should sponsor a playhouse.

McCuiston works with Habitat for Humanity MidOhio where they offer playhouses to families in need.

“We build little houses, to help us build big houses,” Jones said.

Kevin and Joe Groom decided to do just that. The brothers own and operate K&M Market in Obetz. They collected funds and were able to schedule a build date.

The family receiving the gift asked for a Barbie and Fortnite combination playhouse.

On Sept. 16, the Grooms were able to invite other community members to help build the playhouse at the Obetz Community Center. The work started and 10 a.m. and the family received the playhouse at 5 p.m.

The Robinson family is the fourth Obetz family to receive a playhouse from the Habitat for Humanity MidOhio Playhouse Project.
