Trail of Scarecrows
Visit Fairfield County is excited to announce the return of one of its fall traditions—the Trail of Scarecrows. This year’s theme is “Fair Fun: A Celebration of the 175th Fairfield County Fair.”
The Trail of Scarecrows has become a proponent of local tourism. It encourages exploration of communities, boosting fall foot traffic, and supporting small businesses across the county.
This year’s trail has the potential to make an even greater impact on the local economy of participating communities.
Areas that you can follow the trail are: Lancaster, Pickerington, Lithopolis, Canal Winchester and this year the Buckeye Lake Region. More locations will be available to be seen on the interactive map.
It is a self-guided tour but offers more than just viewing pleasure.
Visitors of the scarecrows will be able to cast their votes for categories like Best Fair Fun Scarecrow, Most Creative, Spookiest Scarecrow, Best Dressed and more. Winners will receive gift cards. It all begins in October.
