CANAL WINCHESTER, OH – The City of Canal Winchester hosted the community for a free afternoon of fishing, food, and family fun. The Community Fishing Day was held Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Howe Pond Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Visitors were welcomed to bring a lawn chair and any fishing supplies they may need. Additional supplies will be available to borrow, while supplies last. Bait will be provided, courtesy of Columbus Wholesale Fish Bait.

Volunteers were on hand to help anyone new to the sport get set up and demonstrate basic instructions. This was a catch and release event.
