Bixby Road

You may have notice a change to some access roads off of U.S Route 33.
The Bixby Road changes will restrict left turns from U.S. 33 to Bixby Rd. Left turns will be restricted from U.S. 33 onto Bixby. Access will be right turn access in and out, to and from Bixby Road.
This has been a change Jerry Dill, owner of Dill’s Greenhouse, approves.
Dill’s Greenhouse has been encouraging customers to use alternative routes to get to the greenhouse for more than three years.
Dill posted a map at the exit of the greenhouse to better illustrate safer exit routes that keep customers from crossing U.S. 33.
“The right hand turn on to 33 isn’t so bad as long as it isn’t during 3-5 p.m,” Dill said.
These changes are all part of project 121811: The U.S. 33 Widening Project, according to the ODOT website.
A project with the timeline of Summer 2026 to Fall 2028.
Other U.S. 33 changes include Rager Road.
“This project aims to enhance safety at the intersection of U.S. 33 and Rager Road by closing the north leg and adding a cul-de-sac within the existing right of way. Additionally, the south leg will be converted to a right-in right-out configuration,” the ODOT website states.
Changes will not only affect those traveling by car but there are suggested impacts to the Blacklick Creek Trail, however, these impacts will not be known until closer to the start date of the project.
