2025 Canal Winchester Cross Country Invitational

The 2025 Canal Winchester Cross Country Invitational, held Aug. 26 at the Indians’ home course, brought together 11 schools for a competitive evening of racing. Pickerington High School Central earned the boys’ team title with 87 points, edging Fisher Catholic (89) and host Canal Winchester (91). Canal senior Grant Hamilton led the field with a blazing 15:38.19, while sophomore teammate Reide Klamorick took fifth in 16:13.98.
In the girls’ race, Canal Winchester claimed first place by the slimmest of margins, tying Upper Arlington with 38 points and winning on the placement of their sixth and seventh runners. The team placed four athletes in the top 10: junior Peyton Hughey (3rd, 19:05.30), senior Claire Speakman (5th, 19:14.93), junior Lillian Stepp (6th, 19:18.05) and sophomore Meelah Brown (10th, 20:08.42).
